Overview
In partnership with Lynn-based CDC, the Latino Support Network (LSN), this project will transform three sites on High Street, creating affordable homes in remarkable proximity to businesses, services and open space. The sites are on a mostly residential street between High Rock Tower Park and Lynn’s Central Business District's local shops. High Street itself is uphill, with a view of downtown from the proposed properties, and consists of triple-deckers, small multifamily homes, and the non-profit Girls Inc. of Lynn. 19-23 High Street will be redeveloped into a new 6-story 39-unit building, and 10 High Street will be a 7-story 68-unit building. Both buildings will be designed to meet Passive House standards and feature 1:1 bicycle parking. Each building will feature amenity space for residents, and 10 High Street will include a non-profit office space.
The sites are a short walk from amenities including Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC), KIPP Academy Lynn, the post office, two pharmacies, Lynn Dental Center, Lynn Arts, the Lynn Interim Station (MBTA), the Harrington Elementary School, and many locally-owned restaurants and shops.
This collaboration with LSN will create great, affordable homes for Lynn residents while building the capacity of LSN.
