    Our approach

Our mission is to create strong neighborhoods, enabling community members to secure a stable home, achieve economic mobility, and determine their own future.

TND has more than 40 years of experience in tackling affordable housing from all angles. We create and preserve safe, healthy housing so that all of our neighbors have a place to call home. More than that, we ensure that people can stay in their homes by providing services ranging from rental and employment assistance, one-on-one financial and career coaching, to accessing food and medical care. We also help community members develop their leadership skills so they can advocate effectively for themselves and their neighbors. We are part of the community and we work side by side with our neighbors to ensure that everyone in the community has a chance to thrive.

We believe that housing is a human right. Everyone deserves a set of keys that opens the door to a welcoming home.

  • Secure affordable housing in thriving communities

We develop safe, affordable homes, allowing residents to continue living in Chelsea, Revere, and Everett in the face of skyrocketing housing prices. We also provide rental assistance, wellness checks, financial counseling, and other services that help residents maintain stable housing, and mobilize members of the community to advocate for the changes they want to see in their neighborhoods and lives.

  • Find a better job, fix your finances

We established CONNECT to help people find sustainable, living wage jobs and achieve financial health. We work with many partners to provide access to good jobs, essential employment skills, knowledge about household financial management, and access to public benefits- all in one central and supportive location.

  • Determine your own future

In coalition with grassroots organizations and local leaders, we help people come together to learn about and address the challenges our communities face. From housing affordability and displacement, to food access and public health, to overcoming a history of discrimination, we support residents in strengthening their leadership skills and taking action to improve our communities.

CONNECT helped me find a professional job. Right now I’m so confident that I’m with the right people, especially the friends I’ve made through the training and the tutors. It’s really a good community, and it’s helping me to see myself in my career.
